Abstract

Development is a complex process that, under normal circumstances, proceeds in a stable and patterned fashion. The DevoWorm project presents a theoretical reinterpretation of C. elegans embryogenesis, developing an RDF-based computational framework featuring a differentiation tree and analyses of differentiation waves coordinating cellular changes and embryonic form. The work also introduces methods to simulate phenotypic mutagenesis effects, providing insights applicable to both mosaic and regulative development.
