Overview

Modernizing Mental Health is a JOPRO program focused on advancing the ways we understand, research, and support mental well-being. Drawing on insights from cognitive science, futures studies, and critical perspectives on current paradigms, the program works to identify gaps in dominant mental health frameworks and develop more nuanced, integrative approaches.

The program brings together researchers, practitioners, and strategists to examine how emerging knowledge — from computational modeling to phenomenology to policy — can reshape mental health practice and discourse.

A key public facing output is a forthcoming Discussion Series that will feature social work and psychologist practicioners alongside technologists, AI specialists, and others at the forefront of implentations and advances in mental health.
