The Augmentation of Intelligent Agents for Human-Machine Superperformance
OSF Preprints · 2025
Abstract
This preprint explores human-machine symbiosis for achieving superior performance. The authors propose that Intelligence Augmentation (IA) emerges when humans and machines work together, with performance dependent on optimizing sensory information and planning capacity. They define intelligence through the interplay of generativity and selectivity, and argue that successful collaboration requires matching sampling rates between human-machine systems and the world model.
