Futures Center / Kuhn Update Project
Contribute to the "Permanent Crisis" paper series examining whether Kuhn's model of scientific revolutions still holds under conditions of temporal acceleration and institutional capture. Three papers are outlined: the temporal argument (Kuhn + Rushkoff + Rosa), the suppression argument (institutional capture of normal science), and the constructive argument (provisional orientation frameworks as responses).
The intern would contribute to literature review, help develop one paper's argument, and contribute to the annotated bibliography. The project summary, roadmap, three paper outlines, and annotated bibliography already exist.
Graduate students in philosophy of science, history of science, STS, or sociology of knowledge. Familiarity with Kuhn's framework and interest in how scientific paradigms function under contemporary conditions.
