Communications & Community Engagement Intern

Help build JOPRO's public-facing communications infrastructure. This includes contributing to the JOPRO Substack (community news track), drafting social media content, helping maintain the content calendar, and potentially assisting with website content updates.

The intern would gain experience in research communications, nonprofit community building, and science/research outreach. The Substack architecture and content calendar are planned; this intern would help launch them.

What you'll do

  • Contribute 4–6 community news editions to the JOPRO Substack
  • Draft social media content batches for LinkedIn, Discord, and other platforms
  • Help maintain and develop the content calendar
  • Assist with website content updates as needed
  • Support community engagement across JOPRO's channels

Who this is for

Students in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a research background with strong writing skills and interest in science communication. Comfort with social media platforms and content creation tools is helpful.
